Community Impact Grant
At Burrell Family Restaurants, we believe in giving back to the communities we serve.
The Community Impact Grant allows our Restaurant Leaders to nominate local nonprofit organizations that are making a meaningful difference in their community. Together, we’ll select and celebrate organizations that reflect our shared commitment to care, community, and connection.
Who Can Apply?
All Burrell Family Restaurant AGL/GL and Mid-Managers are invited to submit a nomination for a nonprofit organization that they believe deserves an end-of-year grant.
To qualify, nominated organizations must:
- Be a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
- Be located in or serve the communities where our restaurants operate.
- Demonstrate a strong track record of impact, transparency, and community engagement.
- Have a clear mission and measurable programs — not just fundraising events or pass-through charities.
- Be non-political and non-denominational (faith-based organizations are welcome if they serve the broader community).

Step 1
Submit Your Application
Use the form below to nominate your chosen nonprofit. Be thorough — include why this cause matters to you or your team, how the organization serves our community, and what impact a grant would make.

Step 2
Internal Review
All nominations will be reviewed by our Tom, Scott and Audrey. They’ll select the top three organizations to move forward to the final round.
🗓️ Dec. 3 – 8: Our review team selects the top 3 winners
🗓️ Dec. 9: Top 3 winners are notified
Step 3
Pitch at the Holiday Party
The General Leader (GL) / Assistant General Leader (AGL) or Mid-Manager associated with each selected nomination will share a five-minute pitch at our annual holiday party.
🗓️ Dec. 9 – 15: Winners prepare their 5-minute pitch
🎄 Dec. 16: Winners present their pitch to win First, Second or Third place at our annual Christmas Fellowship
- You may choose an organization based on your personal connection, or
Partner with your restaurant team to select a cause that represents your crew’s values and community.
Step 4
Vote and Award
During the holiday celebration, our team will vote on the final placements:

2nd Place: $2,500
3rd Place: $1,000
Step 5
Celebrate the Winners
The GL or AGL will have the opportunity to present the grant directly to the winning nonprofit in early January — representing all of us at Burrell Family Restaurants.

Tips for a Strong Application
- Tell us why this organization matters to you and your community.
Share specific stories, statistics, or examples of their impact.
Include contact details or links to their website and social media.
Make sure the organization’s mission aligns with our values of care, opportunity, and community growth.
