“Because of McDonald’s I have been able to grow and develop myself as a person and as a leader. When I started back in 2019, I had no intention of trying to make a lasting career here. I never really took the time to realize how many opportunities I was passing up. Being in high school, all I was worried about was getting those first few checks, and to be able to go and get my first car.
One day, my General Manager came up to me and told me that I had been nominated for Crew Person of the Year. After that moment, I realized that this is a company that really does notice and appreciate its employees and all the hard work that they put in – I knew that I wanted to be a part of that. Three years later, I’m working full time as a Department Manager and I’m still learning new ways to improve myself and my team everyday.”
“I love McDonald’s because they are really flexible with schedules and last-minute changes – which is great for my lifestyle, being a mother of four kids. McDonald’s is excellent at offering employee benefits such as vacation, tuition assistance, medical assistance, and free employee meals.
It has been a very humbling experience working at McDonald’s. They have allowed me to push myself to further my career. I started out as Crew Member, and worked all the way up to a General Leader.”
“McDonald’s has become part of my family — all four of my older brothers worked there before me (I lived five minutes away so it was close to my house. ) As a freshly graduated homeschooler just starting college, it was really nice to get the college tuition assistance that basically pays for my tuition at our community college. Plus, the flexible hours allows me to still have time with my friends and family.
The thing I am most thankful for, though, are the people I work with day-to-day. I love the positive customers who come in and we are able to just make their day a little better. The Burrell Family McDonald’s organization and leaders have invested in me as a person and want to see me grow – which I love.”
